'What does he care if he hasn't got any money: he doesn't need any money, all he needs is his rucksack with those little plastic bags of dried food and a good pair of shoes and off he goes and enjoys the priviliges of a millionaire in surroundings like this and what fouty millionaire could get up this rock anyhow? It took us all day to climb!'
'And I promised myself that I would begin a new life. All over the West, and the mountains in the East, and the desert, I'll tramp with a rucksack and make it the pure way.'
Kerouac - The Dharma Bums.

ReplyDeleteI like "Change means movement, and movement means friction. I'm getting used to that."
ReplyDeleteOh words, what is to be found in them... little powerful molds to try to give our feelings shape and direction.
Closing our eyes and go with the friction of life... and let it rub and push us like the world does and did to everything beautiful it created.
All I know is I hate the numb feeling of standing still and not feeling friction.
good luck with all x
